The Monkees announced the 2021 Farewell Tour


Hey, hey, The Monkees arrives in the US – but this hour it’s for the last time. Afterwards forced to cancel their spring travel last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, remaining members Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz announced new 2021 travel dates. They call their trek “The Monkees Farewell Tour” and is scheduled to start later this fall.

“The Monkees Farewell Tour” will feature 20 US dates. They will begin their overseas adventures in Seattle, Washington on Sept. 11 and will perform in various cities throughout California, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The tour is scheduled to end in Kansas City, Missouri on Nov. 10. Check out the complete list of tour dates below.

A poster for the tour promises “a magical night of music” that will include “all hits, deep cuts, and fan favorites” alike. There are times when attendees may also hear some of their more recent songs. Monkees’ last studio album – Good Weather, with contributions from Rivers Cuomo, Ben Gibbard, Noel Gallagher, and Paul Weller – came out in 2016 and was followed by a holiday record titled Christmas Party in 2018.

Wait, fans won’t see co -founder The Monkees Peter Tork playing as part of the band. He was sad died in 2019 after a decade-long battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare cancer of the salivary glands. He is 77 years old.

Tickets for the farewell tour go on sale this Friday, May 7 at 10:00 local time, with presales starting May 5 at 10:00 local time. Afterwards, keep an eye on the ticket deals HERE.
