The New and Improved Addicted 2 Decoration

[ad_1]

I didn’t do much in the studio this weekend because I spent the whole week giving the blog a complete makeover. And let me tell you, completely redesigning a 14-year-old blog is no easy task!

Redesigning is not about how the blog looks. If only, I put it off for a few more months because I’m more interested in the look of my studio than the look of my blog. I mean, it’s nice to have a new, fresh look for the website, but the main goal is to make it more effective.

The internet is always changing. Google and their requirements are constantly changing. So if a website isn’t updated regularly (and mine hasn’t been updated in years), things start to get slow and old and user-unfriendly, and Google starts penalizing the tag- belongs to a slow website by sending less and less traffic, which means that the owner of the website is hit with income. It got to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore. So Addicted 2 Decorating has a new and improved look, but more importantly, it now has a much more efficient engine running the whole thing.

While I’m still trying to organize the thing, and some pages look like a complete mess (I’ll get to it eventually, but like I said, it’s a big task), I want to point out your attention of a couple. of things.

First, the home page has a whole new look, and it’s jam-packed with useful information, with more useful information to be added soon. Chances are that if you are looking for something specific, you will find it from the home page (or you will soon).

If you’re used to accessing my latest blog post(s) from the home page, that’s easy to do. You can click/tap on one of these two circled buttons/links and that will take you to all my blog posts, listed in order from newest to oldest.

Also, if you are looking for specific information about a specific room in our current home, you can find that information using these buttons on the home page. Each button will take you to every single blog post I wrote about that room.

And finally (for now), you can search for DIY projects using these buttons on the home page…

As I said, I will be adding more information to the home page soon, and you should be able to find anything you need from the home page.

But perhaps the most exciting thing is that I finally have a decent “home sources” page. The most frequently asked questions I get is, “Where did you get that?” and, “What color paint is that?” So I finally have a user-friendly home page. I have most of the products there (with a few more to add), and I still need to add all the paint colors. But when it’s done, it’s a huge improvement over what I had before. So if you are looking for something in our house, you can find it on this page.

So I really hope that things will be more user-friendly and easy to find than before. And usually, I wish Google would restart my blog! 😀 Website owners should continuously strive to stay on Google’s good side. I better not do that. I prefer not to worry about the website and techy stuff. I prefer to just be able to do it and not have to think about anything on Google. I want to paint a floor this week. But we can’t always do what we want to do, right? Adulthood can be hard sometimes! 😀 But now, I will paint.
