The Super Pumped Trailer features Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Uber’s Shady CEO


Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s role as the proud CEO of Uber is explored in a new, chaotic teaser trailer of Showtime’s Super Pumped: Battle for Uber.

Another official teaser trailer for Super Pumped: The War for Uber already released, reveals a look at Joseph Gordon-Levitt describing the thoughtful co-founder of Uber, Travis Kalanick. Based on a true story and directed by Allan Coulter, the series follows the rise of the new rideshare company and the participation of Kalanick, appearing high and low in Silicon Valley. Along with Gordon-Levitt’s casting in the super confident role, Kyle Chandler, Uma Thurman, and Elisabeth Shue will also star in the upcoming Showtime limited series.

Now, Showtime shared the latest official teaser trailer for Super Pumped: The War for Uber. With Pearl Jam’s legendary song “Why Go” serving as background music, the teaser introduces Kalanick as a man willing to cross boundaries to achieve his goals for the company. The trailer also presents the first look at Thurman as a wise entrepreneur, Arianna Huffington, and Chandler as venture capitalist, Bill Gurley. In addition to exploring Kalanick’s reckless behavior and decision-making, Chandler’s character backs it up by saying, “The best thing about Travis is that he is willing to run over walls to win. ” Watch the full trailer below:

With the rise of Uber and the controversial workplace culture, the series will follow the lives of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and their capitalist endeavors. While the trailer gives a little look at the series, the feeds are shown to enter the tech company’s workplace. Knowing this, many would think that the series would follow scandals and Benchmark cases, which eventually led to Kalanick’s exit as part of the company’s board of directors and his resignation from office. Super Pumped: The War for Uber premiere on Sunday, Feb. 27 on Showtime.
