Tokyo Drift Legacy Trailer Takes Us Back to Japan


the Fasting & Anger franchise celebrates its history during the lead-up to the debut of Hurry X trailer, and now, they’re taking fans back overseas.

The latest “Legacy Trailer” for Fasting & Anger franchise appeared in the 2006 film The Fast and the Fury: Tokyo Drift. A vast departure from the first two films, Tokyo Drift starring Lucas Black and Bow Wow as two car enthusiasts in Tokyo, who find themselves thrown into the city’s drifting community.

The film may not be significant in the long-standing universe of Fasting & Anger but was the first film directed by Justin Lin, who would go on to direct four more films in the franchise. The four main characters of the film (Han Lue, Sean Boswell, Twinkie, and Earl Hu) also appeared in 2021’s F9and is set to appear in some form of Hurry X.

Hurry X directed by Transporter director Louis Leterrier, who took over the role from Justin Lin after Lin abruptly left the project due to creative differences. The movie was written by Lin and Dan Mazeau, with Lin as producer.

Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Scott Eastwood will reprise their respective roles in the film. The tenth installment will also feature new franchise additions Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Alan Ritchson (Reacher), with Momoa expected to portray the antagonist.

Based on characters created by Gary Scott Thompson, the latest installment takes the family around the world from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to many Tbilisi road. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old enemies will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.
