Torres Announces New Thirstier Album, Shares Video for New Song: Watch

TORRES, aka singer-songwriter Mackenzie Scott, announces a new album called Thirstier. The follow-up to last year Silver Tongue comes July 30 through UNITY. Today’s announcement accompanies the release of the lead single, “Don’t Ask for Puttin in My Head.” Check out the music video (shot in Scott’s apartment with his partner) below, and scroll down for album art (by Jenna Gribbon), tracklist, and a list of North tour dates American and European.

Thirstier with the production of Scott, Rob Ellis, and Peter Miles. He recorded the new album in the fall of 2020 at Middle Farm Studios in the United Kingdom. “I focus on this deep, deep absolute joy that I haven’t been true to most of my life,” the new LP said in a press release. “I feel like a rock inside me. And I’m starting to feel like I have what it takes to help other people express their full happiness as well. ”

Scott added: “I want to transfer my energy into something that feels positive and good, as opposed to being exacerbated in a destructive or frightening way. I like the idea that energy can be something that can save lives. or something fun. ”

In addition, Scott described “Don’t Ask for Puttin in My Head” as “[her] non -stop arena country star time—[her] shameless Tim McGraw cheeseball hit. ”
