“Grey’s Anatomy”: Sarah Drew sculpts the Return of Dr. April Kepner
It certainly took a while from our thinking about April Kepner and Jackson Avery.
They were once the most frustrating and depressing couples in the center Anatomy in Gray, but they have now moved on. April (Sarah Drew) fully married to others and Jackson (Jesse Williams) has been in and out of many relationships since then, but immediately announced that Drew would be back. Grey’s for the little Japril reunion, everyone came back. How can we forget all the sadness? The desire? The devastation? Before we see what Drew calls a “beautiful” stage, let’s walk back to the line of memory to remind ourselves of all the ups and downs this couple has given.
Jackson and April did theirs Anatomy in Gray debuts back in the sixth season, where they are residents of Mercy West Hospital. Seattle Grace (formerly known as the Gray Sloan Memorial) and Mercy West eventually merged, and Jackson and April became permanent fixtures. (April is fired for a minute, but she soon comes back.) They become friends, and then many more …
Up-ish: April flirts with Alex (Justin Chambers) in a bit, but a bad near-sexual encounter turned out to be a terrible mistake and led to Jackson beating up Alex.
Height: After several periods of stress, Jackson and April started having sex before their most important board exams …
Down: … That’s a whole thing because April is a virgin and plans not to have sex until marriage. She was shocked, failed the test, and things learned before the couple because of a lot of mistakes.
