Viola Davis to Play Villain in Hunger Games Prequel

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Viola Davis will play the villain in the future Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Birds and Snakes.

Davis’ character is named Dr. Volumnia Gaul, whose role is the head gamemaker of the 10th annual Hunger Games. He joined other stars such as Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler.

Written by Michael Lesslie based on a draft by Collins and Michael Arndt, the film will be directed by Hunger Games film director Francis Lawrence.
