All Quiet on the Western Front nominated in nine categories in total. In addition to Best Original Score, the movie is also for Best Picture, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, and Best Adapted Screenplay. This year, the Academy Awards broadcast all 24 categories on air. This decision follows the controversy last year when they moved eight categories from the 2022 Oscars live broadcast. Many industry members say the move reduces the creative achievements of some departments responsible for a movie’s success, including Original Score, Editing, and Makeup and Hairstyling.
