What about Percy Jackson and the Olympians?
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is based on the series of very popular novels of the same name, created by Rick Riordan. The titular hero has received a series of films since 2010, although they failed to make the world. This new series on Disney Plus aims to be more in line with the events of the books, with viewers in its teaser trailer already praising the similarities to Riordan’s works.
“Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is on the most dangerous quest of his life,” the series’ official synopsis reads. “With the help of a satyr and a daughter of Athena, Percy must travel across the United States to catch a thief who has stolen the original weapon of mass destruction – the master bolt of Zeus.”
The series will star Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, with James Bobin, Anders Engström, and Jet Wilkinson directing six episodes of the show’s first season.
