On Wednesday, October 6, the country star and her other half, Stone of Faith, voiced their 25th wedding anniversary. In honor of the occasion, McGraw took to social media the story of their engagement, revealing that the “This Kiss” singer actually rejected him several times before it was finally said – or should we say, writing“Yes.”
“We dated for a while. I actually asked him to marry me a few times. He always said no,” she recalls in an Instagram video. “She said, ‘I’m not going to be with another country singer. It’s just not going to work out.'” She was previously married to music executive Daniel Hill and participated in the producer’s recording Scott Hendricks at the time he Fast Burning the tour began with McGraw.
As evidence through their 25 years of marriage, finally changed her mind about McGraw’s marriage.
