Hulu dropped a batch of officer World History Part II photos from the upcoming sequel series to Mel Brooks’ iconic 1981 film. It’s set to debut this spring.
The photos show the main cast, consisting of Wanda Sykes, Ike Barinholtz, and Nick Kroll, who all serve as co-writers on the series. They also look at some of the historical events they will be covering.
World History Part II is again written and executive produced by Mel Brooks, who is also set to star in the comedy sketch series. In addition to Sykes, Barinholtz, and Kroll, David Stassen and Kevin Salter are also part of the writing line-up.
“After waiting more than 40 years for a sequel to the seminal Mel Brooks film, World History, Part Iwith each episode having different sketches that take us to different periods of human history,” reads the synopsis.
The original comedy film is a parody of the anthology film genre and includes various comedic takes on various events throughout history.
