Xbox was noticeably absent from The Game Awardsand noticed that players will not have to wait long to see what comes next from the line of internal studios. The company is now making more formal plans and has announced an event called Developer_Direct that will showcase some of its upcoming slate. This show will be streamed on January 25 at noon PT.
the post the notice revealed what the four headline games are: The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Storiesand Redfall. Starfield not mentioned. It won’t be an elaborate, E3-like show with tons of trailers, and will focus more on “major features, extended gameplay showcases, and the latest information for Xbox games which will be launched in the next few months.”
Developers from each team will be there to discuss each title, too. Studio Director Matt Firor will talk about Elder Scrolls OnlineThe 2023 major chapter update and a “big new feature” are coming later this year. A tree that stream with more details will follow the Xbox show.
And while the Go ahead The tease is unclear, Mojang Studios will talk more about Minecraft Stories‘ Multiplayer and bring exclusive gameplay footage. Arkane will reveal “a few minutes” of co-op and solo play for Redfallhis vampire-focused shooter, and talk more about his combat, customization, bosses, open world, and more.
This showcase isn’t exactly a secret, it seems Windows Central reported its existence a few days before the official reveal. This is a follow-up from the claims of Rand al Thor 19 and Jez Corden (who is a managing editor of Windows Central) in December on their Xbox Two podcast, as they say they heard that Xbox is planning something for early 2023.
