The children returned.
On Wednesday, May 5, Paramount + released the first trailer for they’re reimagining Nickelodeon’s beloved children’s animated series, Rugrats. And, like the new trailer below, there will be plenty of adventures outside of the playpen when the show falls on May 27th.
Once again, the current CG-animated series follows Tommy (EG Every Day), Chuckie (Nancy Cartwright), Susie (Cree Summer), Angelica (Cheryl Chase) and twins Phil and Lil (Kath Soucie) as they explore the world from a bizarre creative perspective. Case point: Reimagining is seen as parodying Jurassic Park. Not only was Tommy seen being chased by a dinosaur, but he also declared, “Hold your buttholes.”
Fingers cross Reptar swoops to save the day! Rugrats first debuted in August 1991 and went on to become a mega-popular franchise for Nickelodeon. In addition to a TV show, Rugrats inspired three hit films, merchandise and more. After 13 years and nine seasons, Rugrats signed in August 2004.
