Mária Fitzgerald she and her husband revealed Romain Bonnet suffered a miscarriage. the Selling at sunset star, 42, took him Instagram on Friday, March 31 to share the sad news, saying they first discovered they were expecting their first child with their honeymoon to Indonesia in January. “We were in Bali, we got pregnant and, unfortunately, it didn’t work out,” explained Mary.
He also said there were complications. “I also apparently had what they call a septic miscarriage, so I had to go in for surgery for that,” Mary added, referring to a miscarriage with a uterine infection.
“The reason why I’m speaking out now is because I know how common it is and how many people go through it, and it’s not easy,” he said. “I need a minute because there are so many eyes on me and everyone is judging and everything, and it’s difficult to say the least, but there is still hope.”
The caption for the video is as full of sadness and hope as the video itself. “It’s not always sunshine and butterflies, and that’s okay. I wanted to share this in hopes of letting others know they are not alone. I promise I will be honest and keep you updated,” Mary wrote. “We will not give up… and if this message speaks to you in any way or you feel sad, helpless, alone… please know that we are here for you. Stay there…”
Romain commented on the post and showed his unwavering love and support for his new bride. “This is just the beginning of our journey my princess and I promise I will always be here to support you every step of the way ❤️❤️,” wrote the 30-year-old realtor.
Meanwhile, Mary, who has a grown son from a previous relationship, speaking EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife about the 12-year age difference between her and Romain, which at one point seemed like a real concern Selling at sunset fans. “I don’t let it get to me too much. I just try to ignore most of it. I know who I am. I know what my relationship with Romain is. We are very SAFE. I don’t try to draw too much attention to it,” he told HL.
