Shameik Moore is set to reprise his role as Miles Morales in the future Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. However, if given the chance, he would also be perfect for a live-action film as the iconic character.
Talked to Empire Magazine about the upcoming sequel, Moore said that he wants to play Miles in a live-action film and that he thinks “everyone knows” that he will do a good job in it.
“I feel like everyone knows I’m going to be great [live-action] Miles Morales. When I left the theater after the premiere, Jamie Foxx looked at me like… he knew,” said Moore. “I think Tom Holland knows too.”
Of course, whether or not Moore gets the chance to play Miles in the real world depends on a number of factors. One of them, according to Moore, is what Marvel Studios wanted the character to be at the time the character was introduced.
“It just depends on how much they want Miles by the time they’re ready to do a live-action movie,” Moore said. “That’s the question of whether I can play him or not.”
Meanwhile, Moore will have the opportunity to continue playing Miles in the upcoming Spider-Verse as well as its sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Versewhich is scheduled to be released in 2024.
