Cardi B and GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2” Is Our Song of the Week

Song of the Week broke down and talked about the song we can’t get out of our heads every week. Find these songs and more on our Spotify Top Songs playlist. For our favorite new songs from new artists, check out our New Sounds on Spotify playlist. This week, GloRilla and Cardi B join forces for a hard-hitting collaboration.

Cardi B has always been a generous collaborator, and now he’s jumping on the remix for fast-rising Memphis rapper GloRilla’s hard-hitting track, “Tomorrow.” Both artists are a natural fit, with aggressive rapping styles and the ability to tear through a lot of beats based on shit-talking and charisma alone.

Produced by frequent GloRilla collaborator Macaroni Toni, “Tomorrow 2” brings out the best of both. GloRilla, who exploded with her viral hit “FNF (Let’s Go)” earlier this year, dropped the original as his first release after signing to Yo Gotti’s CMG label. On the track, he features lyrics about staying close to his circle after becoming famous, but still remains “a little ratchet.”

As a person who sometimes still WRONG herself, Cardi can clearly relate, and she maintains that same energy in her verse. Released the frustration that inspired him to create “Why am I Trending?” sale, the Bronx native had some words for a nameless hater: “I stay on her mind, I got condos on a bitch’s head / She said she wouldn’t fuck me, who said you could, huh?” Looks like his beef with a Queens rapper isn’t cooling down anytime soon.

Keeping it more positive, Cardi acknowledged another rising star, Bronx rapper Ice Spice, when she rapped, “That one eat and she’ll eat me like a mango.” Hopefully, this means we’ll get a remix of Ice Spice’s own viral smash “Munch (Feelin’ U)” quickly.

If you need a shot of adrenaline, watch GloRilla and Cardi B take over New York City in the “Tomorrow 2” video below.
