FOX Renewed The Simpsons for Two More Seasons

The Simpsons‘ the incredible run will continue for at least two more seasons as FOX gives the animated comedy a new twist.

The record holder for the longest running animated TV series, The Simpsons will now air in the 2024-2025 broadcast season — which will mark its 36th season.

while The Simpsons‘ Ratings and critical appeal have declined in recent years, it remains a profitable asset for FOX. In addition to merchandising the show, the network also raked in millions from its distribution deal with Disney — where all previous seasons of The Simpsons call home.

Along with The Simpsons, FOX is also changing Family Guy for the 22nd and 23rd seasons, and Bob’s Burgers for the 14th and 15th seasons.

“In 750 episodes of The Simpsons400 episodes of Family Guy and 250 episodes of Bob’s Burgers, we couldn’t be more proud to continue delivering these three animated hits with the most brilliant animation teams. Our relationship with Fox over the past three decades has allowed this trio of shows to evolve, grow and provide countless moments of hilarious and irreverent entertainment for fans, and we’re absolutely thrilled that Fox is doubling down in each of these iconic movies,” said Marci Proietto, executive VP of 20th Television Animation (via The Hollywood Reporter).
