Thursdayof Geoff Rickly is releasing his first fiction novel later this year. It is titled Someone I’m Not and it’s from July 25 through Rose Books. The story follows a man seeking psychedelic ibogaine treatment for heroin addiction at a clinic in Mexico, and Rickly based it on his own experience doing the same.
Last year, Rickly joined his bandmates on Thursdays for a series of shows Turning for the reunited My Chemical Romance. The group also marked the 20th anniversary of the 2001 LP Total Breakdown with an extensive box set reissue. Thursday last released a new album in 2011 with There is no return. In the decade since, Rickly has been making music with No Devotion and United Nations.
