JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 Trailer Sets a Release Date

During the Anime Expo this week in Los Angeles, California, Warner Brothers Japan revealed a new promotional video and release date for the upcoming second part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime adaptation.

The expected second part of the adaptation will air worldwide on Netflix on September 1, 2022, and then air in Japan on Tokyo MX on October 7 before being launched on other networks.

The first 12 episodes of the anime adaptation aired on Netflix in December 2021, with the second episode set to consist of episodes 13-24. Sea Stone is the sixth story arc of the incredibly popular manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which ran from December 1990-April 2003 in 17 total volumes. The story follows Jotaru Kujo’s estranged daughter Jolyne Cujoh, who is set by her ex -boyfriend to serve a 15 -year sentence in a prison.

“Florida, USA, 2011 After an accident while driving with her boyfriend, Jolyne Cujoh fell into a trap and was sentenced to fifteen years,” reads the entire synopsis for Sea Stone. “He was sent to the state-run maximum-security correctional facility Green Dolphin Street Prison — AKA ‘the Aquarium.’ On the verge of despair, he receives a pendant from his father that causes a mysterious power to awaken within him. ‘There are things in this world that are more frightening than death, and what is happening in this prison is definitely one of them.’ A message from a mysterious boy appearing in front of Jolyne, unexplained events unfolding sequentially, the horrible truth his father told him on his visit, and the name DIO … call and prison? The final battle to end a century of deadly confrontations between the Joestar family and DIO has begun!
